The City of St. John's is committed to delivering safe, high-quality water to our residents.
The water we supply to homes and businesses is lead-free. However, lead can enter the water if it passes through older plumbing materials—such as lead solder, faucets, fittings, or service lines (the pipes that connect homes to the water main).
The City of St. John’s is actively locating and replacing any remaining lead service lines, We prioritize high-risk areas and coordinate this work with street paving and renewal projects to reduce community disruption and keep costs low for residents affected.
