Purpose
To establish guidelines, providing consistency on the use of Fire Department apparatus and/or equipment within the SJRFD.


Background
This replaces Policy # 45, dated 1998-11-02.


Policy Statement
1.Effective immediately no apparatus and/or equipment will be used by anyone for other than the intended use, which is to respond to an emergency, without the express written consent of the Director (Fire Chief) or his designate.
2.Absolutely no equipment will be loaned or used on the assumption it is agreed to by the Department unless there is written consent by the Director (Fire Chief) or his designate.

NOTE:

All Operational Guidelines are provided as a guideline only and may be altered by the OIC to meet extenuating circumstances.
