Purpose
To outline the process for recommending salaries and wages as part of the yearly SJRFD budgetary process (GVFD) and formalizing a protocol for the allocation of honorariums amongst the Goulds Volunteer Fire Department (GVFD) members.

Background
Budgetary recommendations are made during the yearly budget process (Salaries & Wages) as to the honorarium amount that will be paid out to GVFD for services rendered. Approved funds are then allocated to members based upon their rank and participation in training and operation throughout the year.

Policy Statement
Effective in 2014 budget year, GVFD honorariums shall be calculated on an average of 30 fulltime members and shall be as follows;
Goulds Chief (1) $3,650
Officers (5) $3,450
Treasurer (1) $3,450
Secretary (1) $3,450
Member (22) $3,250 (Total of $99,300)
Honorariums shall be increased each year equal to that rate received by Management personnel during the year the budget is being approved. |
